I’m Kodi. I just graduated from Ateneo in Management Information Systems, Cum Laude. The last big thing on my desk was a capstone system for ROQSON, a lubricant distributor with real operations, real data, and very little patience for software that only looks good in a demo.
A few things that are usually true about me: I’m slow on purpose. I’d rather ship something narrow and finish it than ship something wide and abandon it. I take feedback better when it’s direct, and I will absolutely reopen a “done” file three more times before I mean it. Mostly I’m more interested in your problem than my solution to it.
can you do something about the signal?
When I was 16, a school immersion placed me with a foster family in Sapang Palay. One afternoon there, I spent an embarrassing amount of time walking up and down a road, trying to get one bar of signal on Nanay Elsa’s ancient Samsung so she could reach her son. I did not fix it. I mostly just held a phone up in the air.
But that afternoon is the first time I remember caring whether a thing actually worked for the person holding it, instead of whether it looked clever. That part stuck.
These days, that points at analytics and product work: the seat where the data, the business, and the person using the thing all have to agree.
